Description

Kuroneko Cafe (which means ‘Black cat Cafe’, started when a Japanese girl by the name of Chiho Aratani had dreams of owning her own cafe. Ten years later after working in various hospitality venues such as ‘Helenic Republic’ (chef), Qantas First Class Lounge (barista/chef) and Apollo Bay’s famous ‘Cafe 153’ (barista), she has finally reached her dream.

That girl from Hiroshima has now turned into a fine chef and barista, bringing you Kuroneko Cafe; a modern Japanese inspired cafe that serves ‘bento’ (lunch) with a dash of western influence. Our Curry Karaage, Katsu Curry, Ginger Pork & Beef Gyudon are signature dishes and really must be tried to experience Japanese home-cooking. Chiho-san also prepares a traditional full Japanese breakfast comprising rolled egg, grilled salmon, onigiri, pickled vegetables, rice, natto (fermented soy beans) and fruit yoghurt (or matcha pudding). Healthy and filling yet light on the stomach 🙂
