Taras Richmond Farmstay offers two self catering modern, eco-friendly accommodation apartments. Ideally located on a small working farm where you can rest comfortably in the clean and warm accommodation, or use us as a base to visit the many nearby attractions, including famous Coal Valley wineries, Zoo Doo, local produce markets, and of course Richmond itself with its history, museums, galleries, cafe’s and river-bank walks.

The highly-praised continental breakfast is included as part of the tariff, and includes a basket with a selection of cereals, freshly baked bread, Taras prize-winning home-made jams, plunger coffee and fresh local fruit in season.
Taras Richmond Farmstay located just 20 minutes to Hobart Airport, 25 minutes from Hobart city, or 3 minutes north of historic Richmond in the beautiful and bountiful Coal Valley.

Sugarloaf Apartment

The Sugarloaf apartment is named for its views over the paddocks to the Coal Valley Sugarloaf Mountain. It has a large queen bed room (with sizeable en-suite) and a separate large living area with kitchen facilities. The 2nd bedroom has twin beds. On request, an additional single bed can be placed in the queen bedroom for a 5th person. The only bathroom in this apartment is a large en-suite off the main bedroom. This is a child-friendly business and a cot, high-chair and selection of kids toys are also available if required. This apartment is wheel-chair friendly.

The large living area contains a well equipped kitchenette with basic cooking facilities including hotplates, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge, dining table etc.. There is also a television, digital set-top box and lounge suite. The apartment also has a washing machine and outside bbq for guests to use. The Sugarloaf apartment is pet friendly (at management discretion). Please contact Tara to discuss this if you have pets that you would like to bring with you.
