Accessibility Symbols
Accessible Bathroom
Accessible toilet with step-free access and a manoeuvring space of 150cm x 150cm. Door opening widths a minimum of 75cm. A transfer space with a dropdown rail available and wall-mounted grab rails on both sides of the toilet.
Ambulant Toilet
Toilet suitable for use by ambulant disabled people with step-free access (includes horizontal/dropdown rails on both sides of the toilet).
Accessible Parking Bays
Accessible parking bays within the car
park or on-street.
Braille
Information in Braille is readily
available.
Companion/Carer Discount
Discount available for companions/carers.
Large Print
Information in Large Print (font size 16+) is readily available.
Level Access and Automatic Doors
The approach and circulation is level (this may include the use of lifts). Doors will be automatic and opening widths a minimum of 75cm.
Mobility Impaired Walker
The approach/entrance to the building has no more than three steps. Internal level changes can be overcome by moderate/easy ramps and/or lifts.
Safe or Quiet Space Available
Safe or quiet space available. Access to these facilities will vary.
Sign Language
A member of staff trained in sign language is generally available.
Step-Free Standard Toilet
Standard toilets available with step-free access.
Wheelchair Accessible Venue
Manoeuvring space of 150cm x 150cm, path minimum width of 75 cm between all facilities and business services, door opening a minimum width of 75 cm, an accessible bathroom, entrance with no slope/ minimal slope, automatic doors or manual doors.
