Evandale is the perfect location to stay a few days and tour the district. It is only a short drive to tour the Relbia wine region to visit wineries such as Josef Chromy, Sharmans Wines and Jigglers Creek wines.
Evandale is a charming, quiet rural village that has many historic buildings and beautiful gardens. There are statues of the Time Traveller, Harry Murray VC, Australias most decorated soldier, and John Glover, distinguished colonial artist.
ACCOMODATION:
The Daniel Cottage is the original shop store room built in 1843 from blue stone and convict bricks. Entry is by a low step and there is a ramp available for people with mobility issues.
This large cottage can sleep up to four guests. There is a Queen bed in a separate bedroom and a comfortable double sofabed in the main room. The bathroom has a shower with a low entry step.
The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, small oven, cooktop, jug, toaster and frypan. Every thing you would need to cook a variety of meals. The pantry contains cereals, spreads, tea, coffee, ceramic urn filtered water and other necessities. Fresh herbs are nearby in pots or in the garden, and in season fruit and vegetables can be harvested.
Your choice of breakfast provisions are placed in the cottage after checkin.
Guest Laundry facilities are available. A communal barbeque area is just outside you back door.
There is an efficient wall heater in the main room and the queen bed is fitted with an electric blanket.
A large eclectic range of free DVDs are available to watch on the large flat screen Digital TV.
Through the French doors there is a small garden courtyard to sit and relax. Off street parking is just a few meters away. A ramp is available for wheelchair access.
