The Terrace is Melbourne’s best kept secret for Wedding Receptions and Corporate Events. Situated in the heart of the Royal Botanic Gardens and set on the stunning Ornamental Lake.

Take a short stroll through Gate A of the Royal Botanic Gardens to discover the hidden gem that is The Terrace. Indulge in the freshly baked signature scones served with coffee or a selection of teas, while enrapturing in the beauty of the surrounding gardens.

They also offer a selection of freshly made wraps, rolls and baguettes made with fresh vegetable and cold meat fillings for you to choose from as well as the Made to Order Menu offered daily between 9am and 2:30pm.

ACCESSIBILITY:

Melbourne Gardens provides wheelchairs at the Visitor Centre and The Terrace cafe.

Wheelchairs are available 9am–5pm daily.

A $50 refundable cash deposit is required upon pick-up.Walkers, motorised and manual wheelchairs are welcome on all guided tours. All areas of the Melbourne Gardens are accessible by walker and wheelchair excluding the Melbourne Observatory buildings due to their historically narrow entrances. Access to Fern Gully is not recommended due to the uneven path structure and narrow pathways.

Motorised wheelchairs can access lawn areas but please take care after wet weather or watering.

Accessible car parking is available at several points around the Garden. Please view the Melbourne Map for exact locations.

The Melbourne Visitor Shuttle is wheelchair accessible and stops on Birdwood Avenue, near the Observatory Plaza (Stop 13).
